This Privacy Policy outlines the information we collect on our websites http://choretools.com, via our mobile apps, through written or verbal communications with us, or from other sources, how we utilize and disseminate that information, and your rights with regard to personal information we collect. “Personal Information” When you access or use any of the Platforms, or services we may collect your Personal Information. Some of this Personal Information is required in order to allow you to utilize all of the features of the Platforms (for instance, in order to rent equipment as well as facilitate rental transactions between tool owner and tool renter, you will need to provide us with certain Personal Information). Other information is submitted by you voluntarily. For example, we may collect:
Contact information such as your name, job title, address, email address, telephone number, including mobile number, Identification or verification information such as driver’s license, date of birth and federal tax identification number.
Payment information such as your billing address and payment methods, Banking information, Transaction history such as purchase information, order history, and product interests, Communications information such as email messages, call transcripts and information that you share when you call our customer service line and SMS records and message content, Feedback such as survey responses and comments you submit to us.
Browsing and device information using various technologies such as cookies, Internet tags and navigational data, such as the URL you just visited, the browser version your computer is operating, the date and time you visited, the pages you visited on the Site and your IP address. “Cookies” are alphanumeric identifiers that are stored on your server and allow us to adjust the Site to meet your personal browsing preferences. This is addressed in the first paragraph above. To reiterate, the app is using the data to coordinate rental transactions between rental parties also known as tool owner and tool renter. Both parties' information must be known in order to coordinate the tool exchange arrangement such as where parties will meet, the name of the person the transaction will be conducted with etc.
You may provide information to us when you: request services and products through a Platform (such as through our Contact Us page); register an account with us; complete a survey; contact customer service; or complete a credit application. We may collect information via cookies or internet tags or analytics tools.
We may use your information to accomplish our business purposes including: for our everyday business purposes, such as to provide services to you, to extend credit to you, to market our products and services to you, to communicate with you, to maintain your account with us. We or our service providers may aggregate, evaluate and use browsing and device information to improve the Platforms and our business. We may use IP addresses or other browsing and device information to analyze trends, administer the Platforms, track customer navigation on a Platform and gather aggregated demographic information.
From time to time, we may employ companies and individuals to perform certain services on our behalf (such as conducting audits, performing legal services, processing credit card payments, providing customer service, providing customer database management services, providing email services, providing marketing services, processing credit applications). We may retain personal information from your account to collect any fees owed, resolve disputes, complete investigations, prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service User Agreement, or take other actions as required or permitted by law.
Your account may be deleted voluntarily at anytime via the app. Please keep in mind that others can retain messages and content that you have sent them or posted publicly before you closed your account. We keep deactivated account information for a certain time period in our archives before we can delete any data.
We may provide links on the Platforms to third-party websites we think may be of interest to you, including plug-ins that link to social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Instagram. These websites are independent from Chore Tools and have their own separate privacy policies. Chore Tools is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of such third-party websites. Whenever you click on links on the Platforms that take you to a third-party website, you will be subject to the third party's privacy policies. We recommend that you review the third-parties’ privacy polices before you visit these websites.
The Platforms are not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register for an online account. Should we learn that someone under the age of 13 has provided any personal information to or on the Platforms, we will remove that information as soon as possible.
